This year's theme for World Migratory Bird Day at Ken Reid Conservation Area focuses on insects and highlights the pivotal role insects play in the migration and survival of birds. The day is filled with a variety of educational and engaging activities that promise to deepen your connection with the natural world, including Dawn Chorus with Rob Stavinga, Winged Wonders bird identification adventure, Into the Canopy tree identification adventure, a spring ephemeral identification hike, a point count hike, a Wonders of Wetlands guided hike, a sound exploration guided hike led by Pinnguaq Association, an eBird app tutorial, a historical hike, and the Exploring Climate Change Impacts guided hike.
