An evening of discussion and discovery all about ancient dugout canoes, with Dr. Sissel Schroeder from the University of Wisconsin-Madison presenting her work with the Wisconsin Dugout Canoe Survey. Since 2018, this project has been locating, identifying, and documenting a number of dugout canoes being found in the state of Wisconsin, with some dating back thousands of years. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a meet-and-greet and self-guided tours of the Exhibition Hall, with opening remarks by museum curator Jeremy Ward at 7 p.m. followed by the keynote presentation by Dr. Schroeder.
