Each year, Workforce Development Board (WDB) produces a Local Labour Market Planning (LLMP) report, which highlights changes in the local labour force and workforce challenges facing employers within the regions of Peterborough, Northumberland, Kawartha Lakes, and Haliburton. Danielle Lachance, consultant and author of the 2024-2025 LLMP report, will provide updates in trends in employment services client data, Employment Ontario program data, changes in employment by occupation and industry, and business counts by industry and size. She will also provide an overview of some new datasets in the report including Skilled Trades Ontario data and the Census' commuting flows data. Sandy Wright, Labour Market Information Analyst Consultant, who compiled and prepared the data for the LLMP report will join Lachance for this webinar. This overview of the economic and labour market changes will provide insight into the challenges and opportunities linked to economic and workforce development.
