An afternoon of food and festivities will take centre stage as Warkworth once again closes its Main Street for the Warkworth Long Lunch. New this year, artisans selling their art, handmade wares, flowers and vegetables will also line Main Street, and there will be a children's craft corner. Local musicians Lindsay Glover, Jonah Maclean with John Hailey, and Tailgate Romeos will perform throughout the afternoon. A choice of five menus, ranging in price from $8 to $15, will be provided by local chefs from Green Moxie, Jeannine's Backtalk Cafe, the K Okay Cafe, the Robin's Nest, and Sandy Flats. Proceeds from the event, including the entry fee and raffle tickets for gift baskets, will go to the Warkworth Medical Centre.
