Megan Gallant is an adventure lover who holds an M.A. in Critical and Creative Writing from the University of Gloucestershire. Her favourite place to be is near the water and between the pines in her worn-out hammock, reading true crime, drinking coffee, and cuddling her adorable goldendoodle.
While on a diving trip to the Galápagos Islands in Ecuador in 2018, Peterborough veterinarian Kristy Hiltz (back row, middle) and her husband David McNab (front row, second from right) learned that one of their diving instructors was working overtime to support his 18-month-old daughter Johanita who had a brain tumour. To kick off its 21st season of professional theatre in Bobcaygeon, Globus Theatre is stagingthe world premiere of "The Dating Game," a romantic comedy about dating in the 21st century by Olivier Award-nominated playwright Peter Quilter. Featuring real-life couples Sarah Quick and James Barrett and Matthew Olver and and Lisa Horner, the play follows a recently divorced couple as they navigate searching for new partners. Peter Quilter's romantic comedy runs for 11 performances from May 29 to June 8 at the Lakeview Arts Barn.
Through the support of No Paw Left Behind, mixed breed Clifford received help with a painful skin condition and found a new home at a rescue organization in Ottawa. The Peterborough-based charity founded by Sabine McConnell serves as a buffer between shelters and rescues for animals who might otherwise be euthanized. From May 27 to 31, 2024, the charity is running an online auction of donated pet-related products to raise funds for boarding costs and veterinary bills. Peterborough’s No Paw Left Behind helps animals at risk of being euthanized

Founded by Sabine McConnell, the registered charity is holding an online silent auction until May 31 to raise funds for boarding and vet bills.
Between September 16 and 23, 2024, Peterborough writer and artist Laurel Paluck is hosting a writers' retreat in the Terrasson-Lavilledieu village in Dordogne, France at an historic villa owned by Peterborough resident Johanna Sinclair. Focused on exploring relationships with one's mother, the "My Mother's House" retreat includes writing prompts and discussions around a text by iconic French writer Colette, an exploration of the medieval town, and time connecting with other writers of various skill and experience.
