The 20th annual ReFrame Film Festival kicks off on January 25, 2024 at Showplace Performance Centre in downtown Peterborough with an exclusive screening of the award-winning film "Boil Alert" directed by James Burns and Stevie Salas. The film profiles artist and activist Layla Staats as she investigates and campaigns around issues of unsafe and unclean water supply in Indigenous communities in both Canada and the United States. Nòstimo By The Original Greek, a restaurant in Peterborough's Northcrest Plaza that serves up Greek-Mediterranean cuisine, opened its new dining room in November 2023.
