Celebration: The Canadian Canoe Museum presents National Canoe Day beginning at 10:00 am at Canadian Canoe Museum (2077 Ashburnham Dr., Peterborough, K9L 1P8). National Canoe Day was coined by The Canadian Canoe Museum in 2007 following a CBC campaign that declared the canoe one of the Seven Wonders of Canada. Ever since, Canadians have celebrated in many ways, from paddling parties and community gatherings to sharing stories, memories, and experiences connected to the canoe. Celebrate at the museum by meeting Builder in Residence Brian Cook from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (free with museum admission), touring Little Lake in a Voyageur Canoe at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. ($13.50 - $15), or joining a guided tour of the Exhibition Hall ($27-38, includes museum admission).
