Festival: Municipality of Port Hope presents Port Hope Arts Festival beginning at 10:00 am in Port Hope. Featuring the 10-Minute Play Series with 15 unique plays staged in eight outdoor locations downtown every 30 minutes between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., Art Around Town with the work of local artists displayed in various downtown windows from August 1 to 16, a poetry workshop from 10:30 am - noon, a poetry reading at 1 p.m., an outdoor artisan market from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. featuring 40 artists, wagon rides, a community gathering in Memorial Park from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Sounds of the Next Generation (SONG)'s SoundStage open mic at the Capitol Theatre, an outdoor concert at 8 p.m. at the Capitol featuring Nicholas Campbell & The Metre Cheaters, and more.
