Education: Riverview Park and Zoo hosts the 11th Annual Peterborough Children's Water Festival at Riverview Park and Zoo (Water St. at Carnegie Ave., Peterborough, K9J 6Z5). The Peterborough Children's Water Festival (PCWF) is a community event held at the Riverview Park and Zoo. Through interactive activity centres, students in grades 2 to 5 learn the importance of our most valuable resource: water. Indirectly, adults and high school volunteers are also exposed to messages of water protection and conservation for future generations and environmental health. The festival revolves around a variety of stimulating and fun activities supported by the expertise of educators, water quality and quantity specialists, community volunteers, conservation groups, industry and government. For more information contact Alix Taylor at 705-745-3238 or or visit www.pcwf.net.
