Peterborough Public Library is hosting events this fall for this year's selection, 'Moon of the Crusted Snow' by Waubgeshig Rice, including an author reading at the library.

Tyrone Flowers first moved to Peterborough with his spouse Lauren Mortlock five years ago with the goal of opening their own restaurant. In May, after two decades working in every from dishwasher to bartender and chef, Flowers opened The Vine, offering a menu focused on seafood and plant-based options to pair with a weekend brunch. In 2018, Peterborough photographer Heather Doughty was inspired to start a portrait project that would showcase remarkable local women and encourage them to tell their stories. Inspire: The Women's Portrait Project now includes portraits and stories of over 500 women and has expanded with additional projects featuring inspiring women including FarmHER, She Inspires Me, Mom Bod, and Day of the Girl.
