Theatre: Globus Theatre presents "Sore Losers" by Bradley Austin beginning at 8:00 pm at Globus Theatre (2300 Pigeon Lake Rd., Bobcaygeon, K0M 1A0). The world premiere of a new Canadian comedy about bowling by Bradley Austin, "Sore Losers" tells the story of a beloved family bowling alley run by Burt and his niece Angie that is facing financial ruin from the sleek and modern Galaxy Bowl. Unlike their famously successful fathers who were once bowling champions, Burt and his lifelong friend Jim have never won anything. Desperate to save their business and their pride, Jim cooks up an outrageous plan to win the provincial championship. The last-ditch effort hinges on recruiting the town's earnest but clueless new dentist for a ragtag team that must rally for a hilarious high-stakes battle to finally get a win. Evening performances at 8 p.m. from July 15 to 18 and 22 to 25 with matinee performances at 2 p.m. on July 18 and 23. An optional dinner is available before all evening performances.
