Local Shopping: Peterborough Downtown Business Improvement Area (DBIA) presents Second Saturday Sidewalk Sale beginning at 10:00 am in Peterborough. Every Second Saturday in the summer, downtown Peterborough transforms into an pedestrian-friendly open-air shopping and entertainment experience filled with sidewalk sales, local vendors, artisan markets, music, patios, pop-ups, and plenty to explore. George Street will be closed from Hunter Street to Simcoe Street to allow for expanded pedestrian space during the event.
