Literary: Trent Valley Archives presents Book Launch - "Spirituality & Culture in Local Community: 1775-2025" by Harmen Boersma beginning at 7:00 pm at Living Hope Christian Reformed Church (1 Consumers Place, Peterborough, K9J 6X9). Harmen Boersma book tells the story of various kinds of spirituality and how they can affect the daily life of a community. It follows two founding civilizations, Indigenous (Anishinaabe) and European immigrant, and how they meet in the Peterborough area, originally with curiosity and cooperation later deteriorating to hostility and betrayal. This relationship continues to evolve as more immigrants arrive bringing their own understanding of what it means to be spiritual with them. Biographies of five leading cultural personalities are included. Copies of the book will be for sale at the event for $35. Cost: Free, but donations to Trent Valley Archives welcomed.
