Celebration: Municipality of Port Hope presents Port Hope Canada Day Parade beginning at 11:00 am in Port Hope. With the completion of the Walton Street reconstruction, this year;s parade returns to its traditional route down Walton Street. There will be a modified start and staging area due to the Victoria Street reconstruction project. The parade kicks off at the corner of Julia and Ridout and travels down Walton Street, turning onto Queen Street to finish at Town Hall. There are lots of viewing locations along the entire route. Road closures will be in effect (along the parade route) starting at 10 a.m. All local businesses and organizations are invited to join the parade lineup for free, with floats and costumes that connect to a Canada Day theme encouraged.
