Fitness: Tri Kawartha presents Northstar Industries Kids Triathlon beginning at 8:00 am at Beavermead Park (2011 Ashburnham Dr., Peterborough, K9L 1P8). A family-friendly event designed to keep kids ages 3-11 active and healthy and introduce them to the fun of triathlon and fair play with multiple courses, times, and distances. Although there are prizes for the top three in each age group, the emphasis is on participation and having fun in a supportive and safe environment. This year's event is in support of Peterborough Child & Family Centres and Canopy Support Services. Cost: Registration fees $40 - $60 depending on age.
