Lecture: Peterborough Historical Society (PHS) presents PHS Speaker Series: "Bowling on the Green: 125 Years of Lawn Bowling in Peterborough" with Elwood Jones beginning at 7:30 pm at Peterborough Lions Community Centre (347 Burnham St., Peterborough, K9J 1T5). Trent Valley Archives archivist Elwood Jones will be presenting his new book "Bowling on the Green: 125 Years of Lawn Bowling in Peterborough" which he co-authored with longtime Peterborough Lawn Bowling Club member Steve Russell. The book chronicles the club's creation in 1901, its various locations throughout the decades, the stories behind its moves, and the people who have maintained the sport.
