Nature: Peterborough GreenUP presents Great Canadian Bioblitz Kick-Off beginning at 10:00 am at Ecology Park (1867 Ashburnham Dr., Peterborough, K9L 1P9). Join GreenUP, the Peterborough Field Naturalists, and community volunteers for a local kick-off to the Great Canadian Bioblitz. A bioblitz is a fun, community-powered effort to observe, identify, and record as many species as possible. Drop in to get help registering, learn how to use iNaturalist to record your observations, and connect with knowledgeable local naturalists. There will also be a bug sweep and a guided tour of Ecology Park, highlighting some of the plant and wildlife habitat projects already underway throughout the park. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Bring a phone or tablet if you'd like to try iNaturalist. Cost: Free (no registration required).
