Doors Open Kawartha Lakes is part of the Doors Open Ontario program, running from May to October each year and showcasing communities and their hidden spaces and places across the province. Doors Open 2026 features 12 sites across communities in central and southern Kawartha Lakes: Academy Theatre in Lindsay, Kawartha Lakes City Hall in Lindsay, Kawartha Lakes Museum and Archives in Lindsay, Lindsay Post Building, Omemee Train Station, Oakwood United Church, Lindsay Legends and Lore Self-Guided Walking Tour, Manilla Library, Oakwood Library, Old Bethany Post Office (1480 Highway 7A, Bethany, Omemee Legends and Lore Self-Guided Walking Tour, and Woodville Town Hall.
