Heritage: Trent Valley Archives presents Open House and "Bowling on the Green" Book Launch beginning at 11:00 am at Trent Valley Archives (567 Carnegie Ave., Peterborough, K9L 1N1). An open house and launch event for "Bowling on the Green: 125 Years of Lawn Bowling in Peterborough" by Trent Valley Archives archivist Elwood Jones and longtime Peterborough Lawn Bowling Club (PLBC) member Steve Russell. The book chronicles the club's creation in 1901, its various locations throughout the decades, the stories behind its moves, and the people who have maintained the sport. Attendees can also explore the PLBC collection as well as the more than 1,200 other collections housed at Trent Valley Archives. Cost: Free. For more information call 705-745-4404.
