Fundraiser: Ovarian Cancer Canada presents Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope beginning at 11:00 am at Nicholls Oval (725 Armour Rd., Peterborough, K9H 1Z8). Ovarian Cancer Canada has walks in over 37 locations. Ovarian cancer takes so many lives because there is no test for diagnosing it. Every year 3,000 women are diagnosed across Canada. With research we can come up with better treatments. Funds raised go directly to research, education and support for those diagnosed with Ovarian cancer and their families. Participants can walk, run, bike, etc. This is a family event with music, refreshments, games, and prizes. Dogs are welcome if on a leash. Cost: Free.
