"Memory Crimes" explores the artist Edward Fu-Chen Juan's Taiwanese family history alongside broader questions of truth, reconciliation, and diasporic identity. Drawing from personal research and archival materials, the exhibition reflects on the legacy of the February 28, 1947 massacre in Taiwan and the subsequent decades of authoritarian rule known as the White Terror, during which thousands were imprisoned, tortured, or executed under so-called "thought crimes." An opening reception will take place on May 1 from 6 - 9 p.m. as part of First Friday Peterborough art crawl, followed by an artist talk at 1 p.m. on May 2. Regular hours are 2:30 - 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and 12 - 6 p.m. Thursdays to Saturdays.
