      Port Hope’s Jason Williams named 2026 Fire Chief of the Year

      During its second annual Writing Instrument Challenge, grassroots volunteer group Clean Up Peterborough is e residents, schools, businesses, municipalities, libraries, workplaces, community groups, and others across Peterborough County and beyond to collect their used, broken, and dried-out writing instruments for recycling. The collected items will then be donated to the non-profit organization TerraCycle through their free recycling program at Staples stores.
