Peterborough Petes ‘Next Gen Game’ on Family Day will support Five Counties Children’s Centre

Funds raised from matinee game against the Kitchener Rangers on February 17 will support treatment services for kids with special needs.
The Squishy Goose, an indoor playground, event space, and family-friendly coffee and snack bar in Cobourg, is one of the businesses and organizations participating in the New Canadians Centre's newly launched "Welcome Pass" program in Northumberland County. The program, which has been running in Peterborough for more than 15 years, is designed to welcome and acclimate newcomers to their new community by offering them access to free or selected discounted products and services. Community Futures Peterborough launches new advisory suite for local entrepreneurs

Part of the Business Advisory Centre, the new space is located in the renovated basement level of Venture North in downtown Peterborough.
At its meeting on January 28, 2025, Kawartha Lakes city council accepted a staff report recommending that kennel and pound services on behalf of the municipality be awarded once again to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes, which had cancelled its service agreement with the municipality in March 2024 due to a strain on the organization.
