Harmen Boersma book tells the story of various kinds of spirituality and how they can affect the daily life of a community. It follows two founding civilizations, Indigenous (Anishinaabe) and European immigrant, and how they meet in the Peterborough area, originally with curiosity and cooperation later deteriorating to hostility and betrayal. This relationship continues to evolve as more immigrants arrive bringing their own understanding of what it means to be spiritual with them. Biographies of five leading cultural personalities are included. Copies of the book will be for sale at the event for $35.
