Pets: Peterborough Humane Society, Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward, and Can-Pet present The Big Apple Pet Festival beginning at 10:00 am at Big Apple (262 Orchard Dr., Colborne, K0K 1S0). A free community event featuring the Can-Pet Mobile Care Unit hosting a mobile clinic offering rabies vaccinations and microchipping for a pay-what-you-can donation, free nail clipping available from Tail Trackers, the Can-Pet Pet Market, a lure course and agility demonstration, an appearance from The Kibble Project founders Gladys Orozco and Elvis Stojko, and more. Funds raised will support the Peterborough Humane Society and Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward, as will a portion of wine and pie sales at The Big Apple. Cost: Free admission.
