Theatre entrepreneur Dane Shumak nearing the top of his game

Dane Shumak is President, Executive Producer, and Artistic Director of Cordwainer Productions, the theatre company he founded in January 2014

Local performer Dane Shumak has become one of the most ambitious individuals in Peterborough’s theatre landscape.

Having just come off of Art for Awareness’ successful production of Rent, where he played the role of Tom Collins, in the last year Dane has directed three shows (Spring Awakening, The Last Five Years and The Pillowman), produced two successful concerts, played the key role of Bill Skykes in the Peterborough Theatre Guild’s production of Oliver, and started his own theatrical company, Cordwainer Productions.

Paul Nicholas Mason is a prize-winning playwright and author of Battered Soles and The Red Dress.

His previous works have been nominated for the Stephen Leacock and ReLit Awards.

Born in London, England, Paul was raised in Rhodesia, British Columbia and Ontario. He is a graduate of Trent University in Peterborough and Queen’s University in Kingston. He lives in Peterborough.
