50 years of making family memories at Sir Sam’s in Haliburton

The Bishop family has been operating the family-oriented Sir Sam's Ski/Ride in Haliburton for 50 years. Founders Bob (left) and Noreen (holding the circa-1970 family photo) remain involved in the resort's operation.

Since 1965, day in and day out, that has been the regimen for the Bishop family. As owners and operators of Sir Sam’s Ski/Ride (1054 Liswood Road, Eagle Lake, Ontario, 705-754-2298), Bob and Noreen, and siblings Rob, Chris, JD, Angela and Steve, have worked side by side with Mother Nature.

Adam Noble, the founder of bioproducts company Noble Tech Inc., has announced plans to construct a 50,000-square-foot production facility at the new Trent Research and Innovation Park in Peterborough.
