The Peterborough Musicians' Benevolent Association (PBMA) helps local musicians who need financial assistance in tough times due to unforeseen circumstances. The association, which is currently distributing donated funds to musicians affected by the cancellation of live music events due to COVID-19, has temporarily lost its primary fundraiser, the Deluxe Blues Jam. At the event, which has been held monthly at Dr. J's BBQ & Brews in downtown Peterborough, the PMBA collected donations and sold t-shirts to raise funds for local musicians.
