Fenelon Falls film circuit wins award at Toronto International Film Festival

The Kawartha Lakes Film Circuit in Fenelon Falls was honoured at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) with a Film Circuit Achievement Award.
The TIFF Film Circuit is the film festival’s outreach program to bring the best of Canadian and international film to communities across the country.
Every year, member communities of the TIFF Film Circuit gather together at a conference to network, share ideas, and preview new feature films for their local audiences at home. During this year’s conference, held at TIFF in Toronto from September 18th to 20th, the program handed out its first-ever Film Circuit Achievement Awards.

Displaying bras to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer

The fifth annual “Bras Around the Building” campaign, where women donate their bras to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer, kicks off today and continues through October.
The campaign culminates on Friday, October 23rd, when the donated bras will be strung around the outside of the Energy 99.7/Country 105 building in Peterborough and the 91.9 BOB FM building in Lindsay.

Fun Streets are community events that transform local residential roads into sites of play, active transportation, and recreation.
